Communication And Collaboration: Arguments, Citation And Teamwork

Gbogbo ọrọ náà

A brilliant idea badly communicated scores no better than a weak one. Global Perspectives treats communication and collaboration as a graded skill (Assessment Objective AO3) because getting your reasoning across clearly, crediting your sources honestly, and working well with others are exactly what real problem-solving demands. This lesson turns those into techniques you can practise.

You will learn to select and structure arguments, evidence and perspectives so a reader can follow your line of reasoning, to cite and reference sources accurately so you never fall into plagiarism, and to contribute effectively to a team. Citation in particular is one of the most searched and most misunderstood parts of the course, so this lesson shows you exactly how a reference is built and used.

Ebumnobi

  1. Select and present relevant arguments, evidence and perspectives clearly and with structure.
  2. Cite and reference sources accurately to avoid plagiarism.
  3. Collaborate effectively and contribute to a team project.

Akọmọ Ojú-ẹkọ

Communication and collaboration form Assessment Objective AO3, and they run through every component. The Individual Report and the Reflective Paper are judged partly on how clearly they are structured and how honestly they reference their sources. The Team Project is judged on collaboration directly. Even the best analysis fails if a reader cannot follow it or if it borrows others' words without credit. These skills are the difference between having good ideas and being believed.
