Development and testing is the stage where the system is built up, piece by piece, and deliberately attacked with carefully chosen data to expose every fault before real customers ever touch it. The goal is simple: find the bugs now, while they are cheap to fix, not after the system goes live.
In this lesson you will learn why a system must be tested before implementation, how testing is planned with a test plan, and how software is tested module by module and then as a whole. Above all you will master the three kinds of test data, normal, abnormal and extreme, and learn what live data is and why it is used as the final check.
