Physical safety is about the dangers that can cause real injury or even loss of life, and it is one of the few ICT topics where getting it wrong has consequences you can feel. The good news is that almost every hazard has a simple, known prevention.

In this lesson you will learn to tell physical safety apart from health risks, identify the four classic hazards Cambridge expects you to know, trace each one back to its cause and then state the measures that remove or reduce it. You will practise the exact hazard, cause and prevention pattern the examiner rewards, so that a question worth several marks becomes a structured answer you can write with confidence.
