Communications
Muhtasari
Commerce depends on the flow of information just as much as the flow of goods. A manufacturer needs to place orders with suppliers, a retailer needs to confirm delivery dates, and a bank needs to authorise payments, all within hours rather than weeks. The method chosen for each message can determine whether a deal goes through on time or falls apart.
In this lesson you will explore why effective communication matters in commerce, compare oral, written and electronic methods, and learn how to choose the right channel for each commercial situation. You will also examine how modern technology has transformed the speed, reach and cost of business communication.
