Every mark you earn for the quality of your writing rests, in part, on the words you choose. A flat word tells the reader what happened; a precise, well-chosen word makes them feel it, see it, or judge it the way you want. The difference between 'the room was nice' and 'the room was airy and welcoming' is the difference between a script that drifts and a script that earns the higher writing bands. This is the single most controllable lever you have over your own grade.
This lesson teaches you how to pick words on purpose: for precision, for connotation, and for the right register.
