Analysis: Causes, Consequences And Lines Of Reasoning
Overzicht
In Global Perspectives, marks are not earned for what you know but for how you think. Analysis is the engine of that thinking: it is the skill of taking an issue apart to see what it is really made of. You learn to separate the issue from the arguments people make about it, to tell a cause from a consequence, to test whether a claim is actually supported by its evidence, and to spot the moments when an argument quietly cheats. These are the moves that turn a page of opinions into a clear picture you can reason about.
This lesson teaches you to do all of that and then to build something from it: a line of reasoning that travels from evidence, through reasons, to a conclusion you can defend, even against the strongest objection. Get this right and every other part of the course gets easier, because Paper 1, the Individual Report and the Team Project all reward the same disciplined, evidence-led thinking.
