Overzicht
An article is not an essay with a jazzier opening. It is a piece of writing built for a particular page, read by a particular person who has somewhere else to be, and every convention it uses exists to hold that person for one more paragraph. When question 8 tells you to write for the features page of a national newspaper or the website of a wildlife magazine, it has handed you a reader, a purpose and a set of expectations, and the examiner will check all three.
This note takes an article apart: the headline and standfirst that buy you attention, the opening that spends it, the body paragraphs that keep moving, and the closing line that makes the whole thing feel designed. Then it turns to reviews, where the product is not information but judgement, and shows you why a reviewer who forgets to judge has written a plot summary with adjectives on it.
