Business Cycle:
Overzicht
Economies do not grow in a smooth straight line; they rise and fall in waves of boom and bust. One year shops are packed and firms cannot hire fast enough; a few years later orders dry up and businesses are closing. This rhythm is the business cycle, and no business escapes its pull.
In this lesson you will learn the four stages of the business cycle and how changes in employment, inflation and Gross Domestic Product affect businesses at each stage. You will be able to read where an economy is in the cycle and explain how a firm should respond.
