Overzicht
Every commercial transaction ends the same way: the buyer pays the seller. How that payment happens, though, varies enormously. A market trader might take cash from a customer's hand, while a multinational importer settles a six-figure invoice through a letter of credit that neither party's bank releases until the goods clear customs.
In this lesson you will explore the full range of payment methods used in domestic and international commerce, from traditional cash and cheques to debit cards, bank transfers, mobile wallets and trade finance instruments. You will learn the advantages and drawbacks of each method for both buyers and sellers, and practise choosing the right one for different commercial situations.
