The type of enterprise behind a commercial operation shapes how it raises money, who makes decisions, and how profits are shared.
In this lesson you will explore the main types of commercial enterprise in the private and public sectors, compare their advantages and drawbacks, and learn how franchises bridge individual ambition with established brands. You will also examine why governments sometimes run enterprises directly, and what happens when those enterprises are privatised.
