Daniel became distinguished above all the other presidents and satraps because he had an excellent spirit. This is stated in Daniel 6:3, where it is said that an excellent spirit was found in him. His exceptional qualities of wisdom, integrity, and faithfulness to God set him apart and made him stand out among the other leaders in Babylon. He was faithful to God even when it meant facing death in the lions' den, and this unwavering faith contributed to his distinction among the leaders in Babylon.

When David and his men returned to their camp in Ziklag, they found that the Amalekites had raided and burned their homes and taken their families captive. The Bible says that David and his men wept until they had no strength left. Then David found strength in the Lord his God, and he consulted Abiathar the priest for guidance. Abiathar helped David by bringing him the ephod, a garment worn by the priest that had two small pouches containing the Urim and Thummim, which were used for divination to seek God's will. Through the ephod, David sought God's direction, and God told him to pursue the Amalekites and promised him victory. Therefore, David made the decision to pursue the Amalekites through seeking God's guidance with the help of the priest and the use of divination with the ephod.

According to the biblical story in the Book of Jonah, God decided to destroy the great city of Nineveh because the people were wicked and sinful. Jonah was sent by God to warn the people of Nineveh to turn away from their evil ways, but they initially refused to listen. However, when they saw the sincerity of Jonah's message and the gravity of their situation, they repented and turned to God, thus averting the destruction of their city.

This can also help to promote good neighbourliness, as people are more likely to live in harmony when there is peace and stability in their surroundings.

After Solomon turned away from God and began to worship other gods, God decided to punish him by taking away most of his kingdom.
