Private enterprise encourages innovation, competition, and efficiency, while government intervention provides stability, social welfare, and economic security. The balance between these two sectors can vary depending on the specific goals and policies of the government. Many modern economies, including the United States, Canada, and most of Europe, are considered mixed economies.
