Reflection: Learning From Perspectives And Teamwork

Most subjects ask what you learned. Global Perspectives also asks something rarer: how your thinking changed, and why. That is reflection, and it is not a soft add-on but a graded skill in its own right (Assessment Objective AO2). Reflection is the honest, evidenced account of how researching an issue, meeting other people's perspectives and working in a team moved you from where you started to where you ended up.
This lesson shows you what good reflection looks like and how to write it. You will learn to reflect on how evidence and other viewpoints changed your mind, to reflect honestly on collaboration (what went well, what was hard, what you would do differently), and to justify your final personal perspective. These are exactly the skills the Reflective Paper rewards, so getting them right lifts one of the most heavily weighted parts of the course.
