A photograph dropped into a report can lift it from plain to professional, or it can wreck the layout with a stretched, blurry, out of place picture. The difference is rarely the camera. It is whether you know how to place an image where it belongs, size it without squashing it, trim away what you do not need and tune its appearance so it serves the document. These are the everyday image skills that separate confident document production from guesswork.
In this lesson you will learn how to place an image with precision, resize it while keeping its aspect ratio or deliberately changing it, crop, rotate and reflect it, adjust its brightness and contrast, group and layer several images into one, and shrink a file that is too large to share. Every one of these is examined in the Cambridge practical papers, where the marks go to the candidate who follows the instruction exactly and keeps the picture undistorted.
