Aperçu
Every number, word, and image stored on a computer starts as raw data, but data on its own tells you very little. A temperature reading of 38 means nothing until you know it came from a patient's thermometer this morning. Understanding how data becomes information, and how different types of data work together, is the foundation of every ICT task you will meet in this course.
In this lesson you will learn the crucial difference between data and information, explore the four main types of data the specification requires, and practise the skills of entering, organising, refining, and combining information to produce digital products that are fit for their intended audience.
