One of the prophets that prophesied hope for Israel in spite of God's promise of punishment was Jeremiah. Jeremiah was a prophet who lived during the time when Israel was facing God's judgment because of their disobedience. God had warned Israel that if they continued to worship false gods and turn away from Him, they would face severe punishment, including being conquered by foreign nations and taken into captivity.
