Types Of Peripheral Devices - Input And Output
Resumen
Every interaction you have with a digital device relies on peripheral hardware. The keyboard you type on, the screen that displays your work, and the printer that produces a hard copy are all peripherals, and choosing the right one for a task is a core ICT skill.
This topic covers the full range of input and output peripherals named in the Edexcel specification. You will learn how each device works, when it is the best choice, and how to compare alternatives in exam-style scenarios where selecting the right peripheral for a given need earns full marks.
Objetivos
- Know about types of output peripheral such as monitor, printer (laser, inkjet, 3D), plotter, data projector, speaker, control device and when they would be used
- Know about types of input peripheral such as keyboard, mouse, tracker ball, joystick, graphics tablet, scanner, digital camera, webcam, microphone, touch screen, OMR reader, OCR reader, bar code scanner, biometric scanner, magnetic stripe reader, chip and pin, sensor and when they would be used
