Graphs And Charts
Resumen
A spreadsheet full of numbers tells the truth but hides the story. Turn those numbers into the right chart and the story jumps out: which product sells most, how sales have climbed through the year, what share of the budget each department takes. The skill that earns marks is not drawing a chart, the software does that, but choosing the chart that fits the data and labelling it so a reader understands it without asking a single question.
In this lesson you will learn to match the data to the chart: a bar or column chart to compare separate things, a line graph for a trend over time, a pie chart for parts of a whole, and a scatter graph for a relationship between two variables. You will learn to select contiguous and non-contiguous data, add every label an examiner expects, plot a second data series on a second axis, and format values and scales so the finished chart is clear, accurate and professional.
Objetivos
- Create, label and edit a graph or chart.
- Select data to produce a graph or chart including using contiguous data, non-contiguous data and specified data ranges Select the graph or chart type Label the graph or chart including chart title, legend, sector labels, sector values, percentages, category axis title, value axis title, category axis labels, value axis labels, data value labels Add a second data series Add a second axis Format numerical values to a specified number of decimal places Format numerical values to display currency symbols Adjust the maximum and minimum values of an axis scale and set incremental values Enhance the appearance of a graph or chart including extracting a pie chart sector, changing the colour scheme or fill patterns.
