Technology, Industry And Innovation
Resumen
Almost everything around you, the phone in your hand, the food in the shop, the vaccine in the clinic, exists because someone invented it and an industry learned to make it at scale. Technology, industry and innovation drive how economies grow and how living standards rise, but they also decide whose jobs disappear, who captures the profits and which countries are left behind. As factories fill with robots and research budgets concentrate in a few nations, the question of who benefits has never been sharper.
This note shows you how to think about innovation the Global Perspectives way. You will weigh it from personal, national and global viewpoints, test claims about progress with current evidence, build balanced arguments about automation and who gains from it, and reason toward courses of action you could defend in your report or team project.
Objetivos
- Explain why technology, industry and innovation is an issue of global significance and describe its main causes and consequences.
- Compare personal, local/national and global perspectives on technology, industry and innovation, with empathy and supporting evidence.
- Evaluate evidence, sources and arguments relating to technology, industry and innovation, distinguishing fact, opinion, bias and vested interest.
- Develop a line of reasoning toward possible evidence-based courses of action on technology, industry and innovation, and suggest report and team-project angles.
