Accounts Analysis
Übersicht
Numbers alone mean very little. A business reporting a profit of 50 000 might sound healthy, but is it strong enough to cover its debts? Is it better or worse than last year? Financial analysis turns raw figures from income statements and statements of financial position into ratios that reveal the real story behind the numbers.
In this lesson you will learn how to calculate and interpret the key profitability and liquidity ratios that Edexcel expects at IGCSE level. You will practise comparing ratios across time periods and between rival businesses, and explore the actions a business can take when those ratios point to trouble.

- Calculate and analyse accounting ratios: gross profit margin, operating profit margin, markup, return on capital employed (ROCE), current ratio, acid test ratio
