Exponential And Logarithmic Functions
Übersicht
Exponential and logarithmic functions sit at the heart of Further Pure Mathematics, connecting algebra, calculus and real-world modelling. Whether you are describing population growth, radioactive decay or compound interest, these two families of functions provide the tools you need.
In this topic you will learn to recognise the shape and behaviour of exponential curves and their inverses, apply the laws of logarithms to simplify and solve equations, and move fluently between exponential and logarithmic forms. Every technique is practised through graded worked examples that mirror the style Edexcel examiners reward.
Ziele
- Know the functions a^x and log_b(x) where b is a natural number greater than one, including the shape of their graphs
