Transport
Übersicht
Every product you buy has travelled - sometimes across continents - before reaching your hands. Transport is the vital link that connects producers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers, making the entire chain of distribution possible. Without efficient transport, goods would sit unsold in factories and raw materials would never reach the production line.
In this lesson you will explore the five main modes of transport used in commerce, discover when each one is the best choice, and learn how containerisation revolutionised global trade. You will also examine the advantages of businesses owning their own fleets and the key documents that accompany goods on their journey.
