Plantation agriculture is not a form of subsistence farming in West Africa. Subsistence farming is a type of agriculture where farmers grow food crops to feed their families and have little or no surplus for sale. Plantation agriculture, on the other hand, is a large-scale farming operation where crops are grown for commercial purposes and are sold in the market. The main difference between subsistence farming and plantation agriculture is the scale and the purpose of farming.
